Michael Jordan's former teammate ridiculed NBA analyst Nick Wright for his take on Stephen A. Smith's beef with LeBron James. On Thursday's episode of "The Adam Friedland Show," the NBA analyst insinuated that MJ's friendship with the ESPN sportscaster has something to do with Smith going after the Lakers' superstar.

The show's host, Adam Friedland, asked the analyst for his thoughts on Jordan's influence on Smith.

"Stephen A is mad LeBron won’t give him attention," Wright said. "Stephen A and Mike are buddies... Some of the most ardent LeBron critics or MJ sicko fans are texting with MJ. I do think that’s something."

A fan page shared the clip featuring Wright expressing his thoughts on Jordan's role in the beef on X on Sunday. Former Bulls player Ron Harper dropped in the comments section to ridicule Wright's take.

"Nick stay on those balls," Harper commented.

The beef between LeBron James and Stephen A. Smith started when the Lakers superstar walked to the ESPN sportscaster and confronted him on the sidelines during a game against the Knicks at a packed Crypto.com Arena on March 6.

Videos of their confrontation went viral on social media. Later, Smith revealed that James walked up to him to talk about his criticism of Bronny James.

Stephen A. Smith once said he was okay never speaking with LeBron James

Stephen A. Smith has made quite a few appearances on different podcasts to talk about his beef with the Lakers star. In August, he joined the "The Arena" podcast, where he said that he was okay never speaking to LeBron James again in his life.

"There's no situation, there's no relationship. He doesn't like me, and I don't like him. There's nobody that can mediate. I don't talk about him unless I'm asked," Smith said. "Some people say, 'Well, why do you talk about him?' Cause I was asked. This is what I do for a living, so how the hell do I get away with saying, 'No comment?' I have no desire to talk about him at all."

Compared to Smith, LeBron James has not talked much about his beef with Smith. The Lakers star had once appeared on the "Pat McAfee Show" in late March. On McAfee's show, James said that the ESPN sportscaster was on a "TaylorSwift tour run" and accused him of constantly talking about the beef despite initially claiming that he did not want to address it.
