The Heat and the Knicks first faced each other on Oct. 26 in the third game of the regular season. The matchup at the Kaseya Center turned into an action-packed thriller, witnessing 13 lead changes and 14 ties.
Jalen Brunson went off for 37 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns added a strong 15-point, 18-rebound double-double. However, despite their heroic efforts, the Knicks were unable to pull out the win.
Norman Powell led Miami in scoring, with 29 points. Bam Adebayo put up a 19-point, 13-rebound double-double, playing a major role in the Heat’s 115-107 victory.
Since that first meeting, the Miami Heat have won six out of their next 10 games. The Knicks have also put together a solid run, going 5-3 and including a five-game winning streak.
