The Miami Heat released massive injury updates before Wednesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. Eight players are on the injury report, headlined by the starting backcourt of Norman Powell and Tyler Herro.
Powell is questionable with a left ankle sprain. It's a new injury he's picked up after dealing with groin and hip injuries before. Powell has missed four games due to those injuries. The Heat will hope his new ailment isn't a significant issue. Powell is their top scorer, averaging 25.0 points in 17 appearances. The Heat will need that against the Mavericks, who are No. 5 on defense.
Herro is available to play despite being listed on the injury report due to his left ankle surgery. The star guard returned on Nov. 24 against Dallas and has played all four games since.
Jaime Jaquez Jr., Andrew Wiggins and Nikola Jovic have also been upgraded to available on the official injury report. Jaquez Jr. returned on Monday against the Clippers after missing time due to a right groin strain. Wiggins is on the injury report due to a left hip flexor strain. Jovic returned on Saturday after dealing with right hip impingement.

Keshad Johnson and Pelle Larsson are the other injured players. They are both questionable. Johnson is dealing with a head injury and illness, while Larsson has a right toe sprain. The duo, along with Powell, will likely be game-time decisions.
Terry Rozier remains the only player confirmed out for the Miami Heat as he continues to stay away due to a gambling investigation.
