"Melo Too Little": Carmelo Anthony Catches Random Stray as NFL Legends Issue Bold Challenge Amid Beef with Club 520 Crew

NBA Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony caught a stray as NFL legends Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson issued a bold challenge to other sports podcasts amid a beef with the “Club 520” podcast. Sharpe and Ocho challenged “Club 520” and other podcasts to different games on a Monday episode of his podcast “Nightcap," with Anthony's "7PM in Brooklyn" show mentioned among the teams challenged by Sharpe's "Night Cap" show.

“Melo can't do nothing but shoot no basketball,” Sharpe said. (Start from 1:32:42).

“I got Melo,” Ocho added. Let me guard Melo.”

“No, let me guard Melo,” Sharpe responded. “You ain't strong enough cos Melo going to try to bully you.”

“Melo too little, man,” Ocho responded. “This is me. He ain't going nowhere. That's me. Hey. Melo, if you see this, come see us. Get your boys. Put your shoes on. We strapping up.”

Hosts of the “Club 520” podcast Jeff Teague, DJ Wells and Bishop B Henn responded on Tuesday. Teague and the “Club 520” team not only responded verbally but they accepted, or at least mock-accepted, the challenge.

Sharpe in April 2025 was reportedly sued for sexual assault by a woman, who was publicly identified as Gabriella Zuniga. She reportedly sought more than $50 million in damages and described alleged incidents in October 2024 and January 2025.

The case was resolved in mid-July 2025. The plaintiff’s lawyer announced that a mutually agreed settlement was reached and the suit was dismissed with prejudice, with no criminal charges filed publicly. He denied the allegations, describing it as a shakedown.

Former player Joe “Iso Joe” Johnson took a shot at Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant while taking sides with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson in their beef with Jeff Teague’s “Club 520.” He claimed that being part of the “Night Cap” team against other podcast shows will be reminiscent of when Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors to form a super team in 2016.

“This is going to be like when KD joined the Warriors this shit ain't gon be fair.. I did this for bread and meat if I didn't win I didn't eat land slide.”

Durant was accused by fans of chasing a league title when he joined the Warriors from the OKC Thunder. The Warriors had previously defeated Durant and the Thunder in the 2016 Western Conference Finals. KD won his two titles in 2017 and 2018, each claiming Finals MVP.
