Luka Doncic's honest admission on James' imminent comeback came less than a week after veteran analyst Jason Whitlock leveled an explosive accusation on the Lakers' point guard. Whitlock recently turned heads by boldly claiming that Doncic "doesn't want" James back on the team.

Meanwhile, LeBron James is scheduled to practice with the Lakers' G League affiliate, South Bay Lakers, later this week. The four-time league MVP is cleared for 5-on-5 practice after developing a sciatica injury during training camp. James hasn't practised with the Lakers yet and isn't with the team on the current five-game road trip.

There is no official timeline on James' return, but there is optimism that he will return this month. The Lakers' next home game is on November 18 before they start a four-game homestand on November 25.
