Luka Doncic’s Fiancée Anamaria Goltes Gives Rare Glimpse Into Personal Messages on Birth of Second Child

Luka Doncic will sit out the LA Lakers’ major matchup against the second-seeded Toronto Raptors on Thursday, as he traveled to Slovenia to be present for the birth of his second child with fiancée Anamaria Goltes.

Goltes, who is preparing to become a mother for the second time, revealed that her Instagram followers have flooded her with encouragement and parenting advice.

She shared a set of Instagram Stories displaying flowers and messages sent to her on the platform, most of them focused on breastfeeding and appreciating the experience of raising two children.

Doncic and Goltes welcomed their first child in 2023, a daughter named Gabriela. The Slovenian star later spoke about becoming a father, calling it the “happiest day of my life.”

Doncic made his first NBA Finals appearance during the 2024 postseason, his debut playoff run as a father. In an interview during the series against the Boston Celtics, the then-Mavericks superstar said fatherhood had been deeply rewarding.

“I’m much more happy now,” he said (per PEOPLE). “There are some nights I don’t sleep that much but Ana is doing most of the job. This is really a life-changing thing for the better, and there’s nothing happier than this, and because of that, I’m the happiest man in the world.”

Snoop Dogg warns Luka Doncic about fatherhood

Luka Doncic addressed parenthood in a recent Access Hollywood interview hosted by rap icon and California legend Snoop Dogg.

He said having a child is the “best gift in the world.”

“(I’m) seeing things more clearly,” Doncic said. “It’s the best gift in the world. Can’t get nothing better. So just being part of her life, it’s unbelievable.”

But the rapper offered the Lakers star a cautionary note.

“You got a daughter? Oh, you fitting to change? She going to stick you right in the heart,” he said. “But it’s going to make you a better man.”

Doncic then joked that it’s going to be a problem once the daughter turns 18.

The arrival of their second child carries significant consequences for the Lakers, who sit second in the Western Conference at 15-5, as Doncic will be unavailable at the start of a three-game road trip that begins against the Raptors on Thursday.

The Lakers are 3-1 in games without Luka Doncic this season. The MVP candidate is averaging 35.3 points, 8.9 assists and 8.9 rebounds.

In his absence, the Lakers will rely on LeBron James and Austin Reaves to carry the load.
