The LA Lakers came away with a win against the Utah Jazz on Sunday. They extended their winning streak to four straight games, however, the 108-106 result wasn’t a convincing victory for the Purple & Gold. Luka Doncic discussed his struggles at the free-throw line after the game, despite the team having bigger issues throughout the night.Doncic stuffed the stat line with 33 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. He hit only three of his 12 shots from behind the arc, and while he pointed to his free throws as a problem, he actually went 10-12 at the line.“Should’ve made both of my free throws,” Doncic said in the postgame interview. One of his misses came at the 6:46 mark in the third quarter. The other one happened in a much more crucial moment. With only six seconds left and the Lakers up by one, he missed the first free throw but made the second. Luckily for him and the team, Keyonte George missed a potential game-winning three-pointer, resulting in the Lakers escaping with a narrow win.Even though Luka Doncic felt frustrated with his attempts at the line, his 10 -12 performance was still better than his season average of 79.3%. His three-point shooting at 25% was below his usual mark. Additionally, his six turnovers were higher than his season average of 4.3 per game.Luka Doncic talks about recent off-court triumph following historic outing Luka Doncic’s near triple-double showing did more than help the Lakers secure another win. It also earned him a place in the record books. With his 33 points and eight assists, he became the fastest player ever to reach more than 400 points and more than 100 assists. Doncic has now recorded 414 points and 107 assists in only 12 games. After the game, Doncic talked about another win he recently enjoyed off the court, defeating Lakers head coach JJ Redick on the pickleball court.“That was easy,” Doncic speaks about his win against Redick while talking to reporters. “He was so pissed. I loved it. Every second of it.”Luka Doncic did admit that he was not perfect and ended up losing in the finals of the tournament organized by the team on Friday.
