Luka Doncic and the LA Lakers came away with a dominant NBA Cup win against the LA Clippers on Tuesday. Doncic had yet another efficient 40-point performance, but there is still something bothering him on the court, and it certainly wasn't the Clippers' defense. After a dominating 135-118 win, Doncic had an urgent message for the organizers, alluding to the players' safety. While he spoke about playing an NBA Cup-style of basketball in Europe, Luka told reporters that he faced "dangerous" issues with the newly designed court. "Adjust the courts, please," Doncic said ."It's just slippery. It's dangerous."Doncic added that he and even other players from both teams slipped multiple times during the game, and it sure did happen during the game. The NBA decided to design courts for the NBA Cup differently, especially for branding, and also to help fans separate regular-season games from the NBA Cup games. Despite playing on a dangerous court, Luka Doncic, as usual, unleashed a masterclass against the Clippers. He recorded 43 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists in 38 minutes. LeBron James and Austin Reaves added 25 and 31 points in the win. In midst of his best season, Luka Doncic talks championship like LeBron James and Kobe BryantLuka Doncic's arrival in Los Angeles didn't just place the Lakers among the top teams in the West, but also secured their status among the hottest teams in the league. There were no better players than Luka to take the stage after LeBron James in LA. However, Doncic made it clear that he wasn't going to be happy with just the limelight, but he had bigger dreams for himself and his new team. He appeared in an interview with legendary rapper and lifelong Lakers fan, Snoop Dogg, on Access Hollywood, and said that he wanted a winning legacy like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James with the Lakers."Kobe brought so many championships here. LeBron brought a championship here. So I want to be the next one to do that, for sure," Doncic said. "I met Kobe, I'm playing with LeBron, just as a little kid in Slovenia, I just wanted to play basketball. Just wanted to touch the NBA. And now I'm playing with the best."To Luka Doncic's credit, he has been playing basketball with a target. He is arguably having the best season of his career, and the Lakers are playing the best basketball, perhaps since the Bubble. Doncic is averaging 35.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
