One of the NBA’s longest and most remarkable scoring streaks came to an end on Thursday. LeBron James, who had scored at least 10 points in every game he’d played since 2007, finally saw that run snapped in the Lakers’ matchup against the Toronto Raptors.
The streak ended fittingly, with LeBron choosing the right basketball play. In the final seconds, he passed to Rui Hachimura for the go-ahead basket rather than taking the shot himself.
While Bron could have tried to extend the streak or forced overtime, he went with the option to win the game, bringing his long-running 10-point streak to a close.
With the streak now over, here’s a look at the longest runs of consecutive 10-point games in NBA history.

Longest Streak of 10-point Games in NBA History
#5. Kevin Durant -562 games
Kevin Durant is widely regarded as one of the best scorers of his generation. A four-time scoring champion with numerous records to his name, his offensive consistency has long defined his career.
Among his many achievements, Durant also holds the fifth-longest streak of 10-point games in NBA history. His run began in March 2009 with the Oklahoma City Thunder and continued through February 2017, spanning into his tenure with the Golden State Warriors.
Although currently fifth on the all-time list, Durant could climb higher as he now holds the longest active 10-point streak following LeBron’s run ending.
#4. Karl Malone - 575 games
Ranked third in the all-time scoring list with 36,928 points, Karl Malone is regarded as one of the best-ever scorers and the only player on this list who never won an NBA championship.
The former Utah Jazz star dominated his era, leading the team to two NBA Finals appearances and earning MVP honors in both of those seasons.
While winning multiple individual accolades, one of Malone's greatest achievements was his 575 streak of 10+ point games. The run began in December 1991 and lasted nearly eight years before ending in March 1999.
#3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - 787 games
Sitting a place above Karl Malone in the all-time scoring charts and holding the crown for most points scored in the NBA until 2023, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was bound to be on this list.
He is the only player to record 500+ consecutive 10-point games on two separate occasions, with the first coming during his tenure with the Milwaukee Bucks.
He later surpassed that mark with the Lakers, posting 787 consecutive 10-point games over seven years. The streak ran from December 1977 to December 1984, a period in which he also won five championships with the franchise.
#2. Michael Jordan - 866 games
Arguably the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan has the second-longest streak for 10-point games. The Chicago Bulls legend's streak began at the end of the 1985-86 season and continued until his first retirement.
The run picked back up when he returned to the Bulls in 1995, and he continued scoring at least 10 points in every game he played until his retirement in 2003, including his final two seasons with the Washington Wizards.
#1. LeBron James - 1,297 games
LeBron James’ 10-point streak spanned nearly 18 years, beginning on Jan. 5, 2007, and lasting until Dec. 4, 2025. In that time, he logged 1,297 consecutive games, a record that may stand for decades.
He was 22 when the streak began and 40 when it ended, underscoring his unmatched longevity. The streak finally ended against the Raptors on Friday after Bron recorded 8 points and 11 assists during the Lakers' 123-120 victory over the Raptors.
