Laura Govan Makes Vulnerable Confession as USC Star Alijah Arenas Nears Comeback After Horrifying Injury

Laura Govan was overwhelmed with emotions after the latest update on her son, Alijah Arenas. The USC commit, one of the top prospects in the country, was finally returning to the action, months after undergoing knee surgery in July.

Arenas was expected to miss the entirety of his freshman season after he suffered a torn meniscus. However, on Thursday, USC coach Eric Musselman said that Arenas could return in mid-January.

Laura Govan was emotional about her son's potential return. On Saturday, she made a vulnerable confession on her social media post.

"I ALREADY KNOW IMA CRY LIKE A BABY... but im READY!!!!" she wrote in the caption of her Insstagram Story.

In her subsequent IG Story, she posted a picture of Alijah getting medical treatment.

"A MOTHER'S JOB NEVER ENDS," she wrote.

Govan also commented on a post by USC's social media. The post featured the Trojans coach's statement on Arenas' return. Govan commented on the post with a series of emojis.

"❤️❤️❤️ That’s My Baby ❤️❤️❤️," she commented.

Alijah Arenas was ranked No. 10 by the 247Sports composite rankings. He was arguably the top guard in his class. His addition could be a big boost for USC amid their 8-0 run in the season.

Laura Govan gives an honest assessment of Alijah Arenas' character

Laura Govan's life has been largely centered around raising her children. The mother of four dedicated her life to raising her children the right way. In years of great parenting, Govan is the best judge of her children's characters.

When she appeared on DHC Live with Dr. Holly Carter in September, Govan spoke about the different personalities of her four children. The reality TV star said that while her eldest daughter, Izela Arenas, was just like her, her youngest daughter, Hamiley, had no patience for nonsense and pretense.

She later revealed what separated her son, Alijah Arenas, from all her children.

"Alijah is a I think he's going to be when he gets his wife, he is just going to be with his wife and that's it. He's gonna be the perfect husband," she said.

Govan later hilariously revealed that her youngest son, Aloni Arenas, was exactly the opposite of his elder brother.

"The other one, Aloni, the baby, he gonna be a pi*p for first six year. Pimp, he gonna be pimping," she added.

All of Laura Govan's four children are athletes. While Aloni and Himley play basketball in high school, Alijah and Izela are college athletes.
