The Los Angeles Lakers didn't make many moves in the offseason. Other than hiring J.J. Redick and bringing in the rookies, they didn't have any major additions. One of the few they made, however, is already making big strides of his own. Quincy Olivari, who earned a two-way deal as an undrafted free agent after impressive performances in the Summer League, has now officially signed with Under Armour under the Curry Brand. This was a full-circle moment for Olivari, who grew up idolizing the Golden State Warriors star.In a Dec. 17 interview with Andscape, the Xavier product opened up on how things went down:“Some people from his brand hit me up saying that they wanted to take care of me and send me some gear,” Olivari said. “I remember asking (them) is there any way I can connect them with my agent so we could just build a relationship, just to see where we could go from there.”Gilbert Arenas urges Bronny James to work out with Quincy OlivariOlivari, like most players on two-way contracts, has barely played for the Lakers this season. So far, he's made just one appearance, scoring three points in eight minutes.Even so, the hunger is clearly there. Knowing that he can be gone at any moment, he's worked his heart off to make a name for himself. That's why Gilbert Arenas believes Bronny James needs to get a glimpse of that hunger and work ethic:“See, and everybody thought I was silly when I said he should have worked with Quincy (Olivari),” Arenas said on his 'Gil's Arena' show. “Like, he (Olivari) was going on workouts, giving his resume out. That’s a whole different type of hunger … You want to work out with that every day.“You want the guy who, at any day, could be cut. You are fighting for your life to get to the NBA, and that’s who you wanna be around 24/7. They don’t got time for f***ery,” the controversial star added.Bronny has been in the spotlight for the way he got to the league. That's why Arenas thinks he needs to outwork everybody to demonstrate that he can be better and make an impact on the team.Unlike Olivari, the chances of him getting cut seem slim right now. Still, he must work tirelessly on his craft and leave everything on the court just like an undrafted rookie on a non-guaranteed deal.
