LA's balanced scoring, led by Reaves' eight points, pushed the Lakers to a 31-26 lead after one quarter. Among the starters, only James failed to make a basket after going 0-for-5, including 0-for-1 from deep.

Brandon Ingram and rookie Collin Murray-Bowles paced the Raptors with 15 points and three assists combined.

The Lakers slowly but steadily built their lead in the second quarter. James continued to struggle, but his teammates sustained their balanced scoring. LA entered halftime with a 67-58 advantage.

The Raptors finally won one quarter when they outscored the Lakers 40-33 in the third frame. Toronto's blistering output allowed it to cut the deficit to 100-98 entering the final 12 minutes.

The back-and-forth went on for nearly the entire period. LA won 123-120 after LeBron James found Rui Hachimura, who hit the game-winning corner 3-pointer.
