The LA Lakers survived a near-epic collapse against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. LeBron James was the hero for the game, helping the Lakers pull off the 116-114 win on the road. Booker was joined by Collin Gillespie at point guard, while Grayson Allen, Dillon Brooks and Mark Williams complete the starting five.The LA Lakers took control of the game in the third quarter and looked like they were on their way to an easy win. However, things began falling apart late in the fourth quarter. Devin Booker made a great defensive play with less than 30 seconds remaining in the game.Dillon Brooks hit a go-ahead 3-point shot with 12.2 seconds left in the game. He was then called for a technical foul, his second of the game and was ejected. LeBron James stepped up to take the free-throw line, but he missed the game-tying free-throw attempt. Booker was then called for a foul on James, with 3.0 seconds remaining. "The King" missed the first of three free-throws, but he redeemed himself by knocking down the final two to give the Lakers a 115-114 lead. He then blocked Grayson Allen's 3-point shot in the next possession, with Marcus Smart icing the game by making 1-of-2 free throws before the buzzer sounded.
