The LA Lakers could receive a massive boost on Saturday as breakout star Austin Reaves will return to the lineup after a three-game absence. Reaves has been out with a groin injury. On Oct. 3, it was reportedly sore, and since Wednesday, the Lakers have termed the issue as a strain.

Reaves had a questionable designation against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, but was ruled out from the get-go in the Lakers' five-game road trip opener in Atlanta on Saturday. According to the latest injury report, Reaves is questionable again and will likely be a game-time decision.

The Lakers suffered a brutal 122-102 loss to the shorthanded Hawks in Reaves' absence. They missed his thrust and speed offensively, which could have helped LA break through the Hawks' gritty defense.

Meanwhile, the Lakers remain silent on rookie Adou Thiero, who is ruled out again. It seemed like he was returning soon when they recalled him from South Bay (G League) on Oct. 31. He's also made the road trip. However, Thiero continues to be sidelined, citing left knee injury recovery.

JJ Redick revealed on Monday that Thiero has progressed, and he hopes that the rookie will debut on the road trip.

He will join LeBron James and Gabe Vincent as the other absentees. James has yet to make his season debut. He is dealing with sciatica and could be out until next week at least. James hasn't traveled with the Lakers.

Meanwhile, Vincent is dealing with a left ankle sprain. He sustained the injury on Oct. 26 against the Sacramento Kings. At the time, the LA Lakers reported that he would be out for two to four weeks. They could provide a fresh update soon.
