On Monday, Nike announced that Kiyan would be joining its latest crop of athletes who are signing NIL deals with the Jordan Brand.

"Incredible!!!!" La La wrote in her IG story. "Proud of you @kiyananthony!"

Along with Kiyan, the Jordan Brand added the Duke Blue Devils duo of Cameron and Cayden Boozer as well as UConn sophomore Sarah Strong to its NIL roster. All four signees are second-generation athletes, as Cameron and Cayden are the twin sons of Olympic gold medalist Carlos Boozer and Strong is the daughter of former WNBA All-Star Allison Feaster.

Kiyan's father Carmelo, of course, was an iconic face of the Jordan Brand during his heyday in the 2000s. Kiyan was said to have been gifted with his first pair of Jordan sneakers by no less than MJ himself.

In his first four games with Syracuse, Kiyan has put up solid numbers, averaging 14.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game to help the Orange go undefeated. The 18-year-old, however, struggled in his latest outing against the Monmouth Hawks, who held him to seven points on 22.2% shooting from the field.

Still, the announcement of this NIL deal under the Jordan Brand should reinvigorate Kiyan's confidence as he continues his college journey.

22 years after his father first signed with the Jordan Brand, Kiyan now has the honor of representing the pursuit of excellence that Michael Jordan embodied in his illustrious career.
