NBA fans cringed at one of Shaquille O'Neal's jokes he made at the FIBA World Cup draw. Shaq was one of the draft assistants for the event. At one moment, Shaq shared the stage with Tom Brady and former English soccer player Rio Ferdinand.

The former English player asked Shaq if Brady would have won more Super Bowls with him as his teammate. Shaq chose the moment to crack his joke.

"You know what they call me in the soccer world?" he asked.

Fans clearly didn't love the joke from the NBA legend. One fan thought Shaquille O'Neal was the opposite of the English soccer legend.

Shaquille O'Neal is getting degree to make a big career move

What hasn't Shaquille O'Neal done in his life? He was the most dominant player in the NBA. He is a DJ, a rapper, a businessman and has participated in WrestleMania 32 in WWE. Just when the world thought the NBA legend was done expanding his professional world, he dropped another big news.

On Thursday, Shaq revealed that he was getting a master's degree to become a sports psychologist. The LA Lakers great said that he decided to help players.

"The reason I'm in school now, getting a Master's of liberal arts, is because when I went to a sports psychologist … he tells me to breathe," Shaq said on "The Big Podcast." "How could you be a sports psychologist and you don't know about sports? I want to be the guy that all these athletes can come to."

Shaquille O'Neal has always held education in a very high regard. In 2019, in a conversation with Forbes, Shaq said that of everything he had achieved, he was most proud of his college degrees. He also said that his mom taught him that education was the most "beneficial tool" one could have.
