Kevin Durant was named the Golden State Warriors’ best option with Steph Curry named second in a Bleacher Report article on Saturday. The article took off on X, and Durant appeared to mock a fan for tagging the story as 'rage bait’ on X on Sunday.“Way to have self control Tommy. Prada u.”Durant joined the Warriors in 2016 from the OKC Thunder, signing a two-year deal with a player option for the second year, worth about $54.3 million. He led them to a title in 2017 and was named Finals MVP, repeating the feat the following season.The two-time champion joined a Warriors team packed with firepower. The trio of Durant, Curry and Klay Thompson created one of the best shooting and scoring backcourts in league history, as in the three seasons spent, the team posted a regular-season record of 125-39 and a postseason record of 32-6.Regardless, the team was still built around Steph Curry. Durant eventually left in 2019 as he needed a new challenge. He later admitted that although he felt accepted in Golden State, he still felt different from the Warriors’ core guys.He averaged 25.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game with the Warriors.
