Brandon Ingram comes up short against Mavericks
The Toronto Raptors fell short against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. While Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes did all that they could to try and beat Dallas, the trio of Anthony Davis, D'Angelo Russell and Cooper Flagg was ultimately too much for Toronto to handle.
Looking at Ingram's numbers on Sunday, he put in the work as they attempted to beat the Mavericks. Ingram added 22 points, six rebounds and two steals. As for Barnes, he had a double-double outing, carrying the Raptors with 33 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and one steal.
While the tandem of Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes was remarkable, it wasn't enough to beat a dominant trio.
Anthony Davis paved the way for the Mavericks as he displayed an all-around performance. Davis put up 25 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. D'Angelo Russell also had a remarkable night, adding 24 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals.
As for the Mavericks' rookie, Cooper Flagg, he finally showed why he was the top pick of this year's draft. Flagg put up 22 points, four rebounds, four assists and one block.
