Before Giddey walked away, security arrived at the scene and escorted the fan out of the arena. Some people in the background were heard yelling that the fan didn't do anything.

After the game, Giddey was asked about the incident.

"He just said something I didn't like and I went over to him -- that was it. Security took him out and that was the end of it," he said.

In 2023, the NBA investigated allegations that Giddey had an inappropriate relationship with an underage girl. The matter was closed after Newport Beach (Calif.) police said they wouldn't be pursuing charges against Giddey, who was then playing for the OKC Thunder.

Josh Giddey is having a breakout season while the Bulls continue to struggle

The Chicago Bulls are having yet another underwhelming season. After 18 games, they are 10th in the Eastern Conference with a 9-9 record. Amid his team's struggles, Josh Giddey is having a career year.

The Bulls guard has done an outstanding job running his team's offense, averaging almost a triple-double. Giddey has had four triple-doubles and nine 20-point games. The Bulls guard is shooting 46.5% from the field, including a carrer-best 39.2% from the 3-point line.

Three-time NBA champion Luc Longley showered praise on his fellow Australian.

"Obviously we don't want to compare him with Michael, but appetite for competition – were it to be statted [measured statistically] – I think Josh is elite," Longley told The Guardian.

In 16 games, Giddey is averaging 20.8 points, 9.9 rebounds and 9.4 assists per game. All three stats are career-highs.
