Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green knows the OKC Thunder could chase the team's iconic regular-season record. The Warriors broke the 72-10 record set by the Chicago Bulls in the 1995-96 season in 2015-16. However, Green admitted that the chase to break the record cost him a few years of his life.On Thursday's episode of his podcast, "The Draymond Green Show," the Warriors star revealed something. Green explained what he meant when he said that the chase for the record took something from him. According to the four-time champion, he dealt with a concussion but did not tell anyone about it. “I got cracked,” Green said. “We were playing against Utah at Utah, going for a loose ball and Joe Ingles cracked me. I was 1,000% concussed. The star forward said he felt dizzy for a few days whenever he'd go home. “This may be, had to be like with six games left. Could even be four games left… I was so lightheaded going up for a few days, but I wouldn’t tell anybody.Green said that he didn't tell anyone about the concussion because he could miss at least a week. The star forward explained that his absence could have prevented the Warriors from getting 73 wins. He said that he had concussion symptoms for a few days. “When you’re pushing towards that goal, it just requires so much,” he added. “That’s what I was hinting at.”Although Draymond Green warns the Thunder about chasing the record, he's confident the defending champions can chase their record. OKC has a 21-1 record and is currently on a 13-game win streak. Draymond Green spoke about Chris Paul's releaseThe NBA world was surprised when the LA Clippers waived Chris Paul on Wednesday. Paul was scheduled to have a farewell tour for his upcoming retirement. However, the Clippers had different plans. Having played for one season, Draymond Green felt bad about what happened to his former teammate. On his show, he expressed his concern and disappointment for Paul and the future of other veteran stars. “If you’re an NBA player, this should bother you because that shows you what can happen to you,” Green said. “If that can happen to Chris Paul, imagine how bad it can get for the rest of us, that are not on the level of Chris Paul.”“I feel bad for CP, who has been overly vocal about how thankful he was to be back with the Clippers.”Paul played one season with Draymond Green and the Warriors. During his time, he appeared in 58 games, averaging 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.8 assists. Most of his time with the team was spent on the bench.
