Jayson Tatum is manifesting to accomplish a similar feat to LeBron James. The Celtics star is hoping to continue his career for the next 10 years and have a chance to share the court with his son, Deuce Tatum.The Celtics star expressed his thoughts on the subject on Wednesday at the "Morris Code" podcast."He turned eight, Deuce turned eight on Saturday," he said. "I’m 27, it’s like damn can I play 10 more years? I can easily do that. So if it works out it would be cool."Jayson Tatum and his high school sweetheart Toriah Lachell welcomed their son into the world on Dec. 6, 2017. The Celtics star became a father just six months after getting drafted as the third pick in the 2017 draft.Tatum became a father at the age of 19, the same age as LeBron James. The Lakers superstar had his first son, Bronny James, with his wife, Savannah James, on Oct. 6, 2004.20 years later, James and James Jr. created history as the first father-son duo to play on the same team in the NBA. They made their first apperance together on the court on Bronny's birthday, Oct. 6, 2024, in a preseason game against the Phoenix Suns.The father-son duo made their official debut in the Lakers' 110-103 win over the Timberwolves on Oct. 22, 2024. The Celtics lost that game 121-113 to the Knicks and went on to lose the series 4-2.In an interview with "People" on Sept. 23, Tatum revealed how his son Deuce helped him overcome self-doubt during his recovery. The Celtics star said that he once asked his son, who was watching basketball highlights on his tablet, if he thought his father would make a comeback from the injury, and his son told him that he, of course, could."I really needed that. There have been plenty of moments during this when I doubted myself. My son thinks I can do anything," he said.Jayson Tatum is still in recovery and is expected to sit out the current season. However, fans can expect him to return stronger next season.
