The former MVP said that he was shocked to find out about it on his phone, like everyone else. "Me too, woke up and saw it on social media," Harden said, according to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN. Woke up and saw it on social media...I'm just as confused and shocked as you guys, the world...Definitely surprised me but not just Chris, it's a lot we were dealing with but that's out of my hands"To be clear, the LA Clippers only sent home Chris Paul and have not waived him since he has a fully guaranteed contract. The Clippers are trying to find a way to resolve the situation, though they can wait until Dec. 15, when he becomes eligible for trade, to trade him.The Clippers and Paul could also discuss a potential buyout, though "CP3" could wait out a little more and see if a contender opens its door for him. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the legendary point guard was clashing with the franchise, from executives, coaches and players. NBA insider Chris Haynes added that Chris Paul wanted to have a meeting with Ty Lue regarding their situation. However, Lue wasn't open to speaking with Paul, which led to general manager Lawrence Frank personally flying to Atlanta to tell the franchise's GOAT that he's being sent home. Ty Lue addresses Clippers' decision to part ways with Chris PaulLA Clippers head coach Ty Lue has broken his silence on the team's decision to send Chris Paul home. Lue didn't want to see it happen like that, but he saw that Paul wasn't just a good fit with the current team. "I just think it wasn't a good fit for what he was looking for," Lue said, according to Clippers beat reporter Joey Linn. "It is what it is. Do I want to see CP go out like this? No, I have a lot of respect for him. ... But I'm pretty sure he will find something because he's a great player."To be fair to the Clippers, they made it look easy against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday without Paul on the sidelines.
