Indiana Pacers vs Dallas Mavericks Player Stats and Box Score (Oct. 29) | 2025-26 NBA season

The Indiana Pacers and Dallas Mavericks locked horns in an interconference regular-season game at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday. Dallas entered the matchup with a 1-3 record, while the Pacers were still chasing their first win of the season after dropping their opening three games.

The Mavericks stuck with the starting lineup that had featured in previous games. Anthony Davis, Max Christie, P.J. Washington, Klay Thompson and Cooper Flagg comprised Dallas' starting five. On the flip side, an injury-riddled Pacers started the game with Pascal Siakam, Jarace Walker, Isaiah Jackson, Aaron Nesmith and Ben Sheppard.

The Pacers jumped to an early 12-8 lead after capitalizing on the Mavericks' errors as the hosts committed four turnovers by the 6:46 mark. In his first start, Jarace Walker made an instant impact with eight points to help the Pacers take a 30-25 lead into the second quarter.

D'Angelo Russell scored 10 points for the Mavericks and kept the hosts in the game. Anthony Davis, who had four points, suffered a leg injury and went back to the locker room, grimacing in pain.

Brandon Williams came up huge for the Mavericks in the second quarter. He had a team-high 10 points on 5 of 6 shooting, bringing Dallas to within two points with 3:18 left in the half. Meanwhile, veteran Pascal Siakam used his savvy to make crucial plays, helping the Pacers lead 55-52 at halftime.

Dwight Powell started the second half for the Mavericks after Anthony Davis was ruled out of the game. Powell made an instant impact by converting a 3-point play to put Dallas ahead by three points. Brandon Williams continued to shine and took his tally to 16 points, ending the third quarter with a buzzer-beating floater.

The Mavericks took control of the game in the penultimate period, winning it 29-19 to take an 81-74 lead into the final frame.

Brandon Williams, Dwight Powell and Cooper Flagg made huge plays in the final quarter to help the Mavericks clinch a thrilling 107-105 win. The Pacers had a golden chance to win the game at the buzzer, but Aaron Nesmith missed a wide-open 3-pointer. As a result, Dallas dodged a bullet and recorded its second win of the season.
