After leading the LA Lakers to an impressive win against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, LeBron James posted on social media and expressed a longing for his wife. James took over late in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 straight points to secure the win for Los Angeles.
He finished with 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists, shooting 12-for-17, including 4-for-6 from 3-point range. After the game, James shared a heartfelt message for his wife, Savannah James, on Instagram.
“I miss my BFF!!! @Mrs_Savannahrj,” James wrote.

Sunday’s game marked James’ highest scoring performance of the season. Since returning from his sciatica injury in November, he has been putting up a modest stat line with averages of 16.1 points, 7.6 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game in 33.1 minutes.
This is the lowest scoring and rebounding output of the four-time champion’s career. Father Time may finally be catching up to LeBron James in year 23.
Between his declining numbers and injury struggles, the Lakers have turned to Luka Doncic, who is averaging 35 ppg, 9.2 rpg and 9.1 apg. Austin Reaves has also been stellar, recording 28.4 ppg, 6.7 apg and 5.5 rpg.
Between these two, James has all the luxury to relax in the final years of his career, but as we saw on Sunday, he can still take over games when need be.
After Sunday’s win against Philadelphia, the Lakers (17-6) have improved to second in the Western Conference, five-and-a-half games behind the OKC Thunder (23-1) in first. The team will return to the court on Wednesday to face the San Antonio Spurs.
