“Since I said publicly that he’s a bum, I do want to publicly say I apologize,” Green said. “Just as a fellow athlete, I think I’d be pissed off if I looked up and another athlete was saying, ‘Draymond is a bum.’ I’d be pissed. So, I’m man enough to say when I’m wrong, I was definitely wrong on that.”

“But in saying that my feelings don’t change. I still think when it gets to the moment, I don’t think he can deliver," Green said. "But I do apologize with the way I categorized him as a bum. He’s definitely not a bum.”

Draymond Green, a well-known Pittsburgh Steelers fan, took a chance to recruit Prescott.

“When he’s sick of playing for the Dallas Cowboys, we’ll take him as the quarterback in Pittsburgh.”

Green’s comments on Prescott drew criticism. Former Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears joined in calling out the Warriors veteran.

The Warriors and Green are struggling for consistency, winning just once in their last four matchups. They take the road to face the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Cup group game on Friday.

Draymond Green speaks on Cooper Flagg’s Mavericks position

Draymond Green spoke on the Dallas Mavericks’ decision to experiment with Cooper Flagg at the point guard position. Green asserted that the idea isn’t a great one and questioned the Mavericks’ decision to allow the former Duke star to run their offense.

“I think the one thing I would say about starting Cooper Flagg at point guard is you just got to be careful. It’s not his real position,” Green said. “If Ben Simmons was allowed to be a power forward that can handle the ball the way he handled the ball, does his career turn out differently than making him a point guard?”

The Mavs have struggled this season. Injuries to key players, like Kyrie Irving, have seen Flagg asked to run the offense in his rookie season. He is averaging 14.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 39.4% from the field.
