Former NBA guard Jason Williams believes he can take on Utah Jazz legend John Stockton. On Tuesday's episode of "Hoopin' N Hollerin," Williams and co-hosts Patrick Beverley and Adam "Rone" Ferrone discussed the top three non-European white players.

The first player mentioned was former Boston Celtics star Larry Bird. The star forward grew up in Indiana and became one of the best players across the association. Beverley acknowledged his co-host and said that Bird could be in the top five.

But Williams disagreed. This led Beverley to say that Williams was a better player than Stockton. Williams agreed with the take and doubled down by saying that he would win a game over the Jazz legend.

What does the head-to-head battle between NBA stars Jason Williams and John Stockton look like?

John Stockton spent most of his career playing in the 1990s. Drafted in the same year as Michael Jordan in 1984, Stockton gradually developed into one of the best facilitators in the league. In the late 1980s, the Jazz guard started to gain admirers for his passing and defensive skills.

Throughout the 1990s, he was a consistent All-Star and even made the 1992 Dream Team alongside teammate Karl Malone. By the time Williams arrived in the league in 1998, Stockton was already an experienced and well-respected player.

Although Williams only caught the tail-end of Stockton's career, they still played against each other 21 times. According to Land of Basketball, Stockton had an 11-10 record against Williams, including a 3-2 playoff record.

Stockton also performed better on the floor, averaging 12.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists. Williams, meanwhile, put up 10.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists.

They only battled for a while in the NBA, but both players put on a show every time they faced each other.
