The Houston Rockets received a positive update on their talisman, Alperen Sengun, ahead of the game against the LA Clippers on Thursday. Sengun was not on the team's injury report submitted after Wednesday's practice session, confirming the star center's availability after a two-game absence due to an illness.

The one-time All-Star returned to practice on Tuesday and has since been working behind the scenes to get his rhythm back after a brief absence. In the two games without the Turkish superstar, the Rockets managed to one win, while losing their previous encounter against the Dallas Mavericks 122-109.

Alperen Sengun spoke to reporters after Tuesday's practice, exuding confidence in the team's ability to play well despite missing key contributors like himself.

"I think they did a pretty good job," Sengun said on the Rockets' 1-1 record in his absence. "We have a good team. No matter who’s out, we just play the same game every time. "I think Steven was out in the Dallas game, and then we were tired a little bit because, you know, it was five games and seven nights.

Meanwhile, Steven Adams wasn't listed on the injury report either. The muscular big man missed the previous game with a right ankle tendinopathy, but is cleared to suit up against the Clippers.

Houston continues to be without Tari Eason, Dorian Finney-Smith and Fred VanVleet. Eason is out with a strained oblique muscle, Finney-Smith is recovering from a left ankle injury and VanVleet is out for the season with a torn ACL.
