The LA Lakers held an intrateam pickleball tournament during their rare four-day break earlier this week. Luka Doncic shared on Sunday that he beat coach JJ Redick in the event and admitted to savoring that victory.After the Lakers’ narrow 108-106 win over the Utah Jazz, Doncic was asked about his pickleball matchup with Redick and didn't hold back in his response. "That was easy. Oh, my God. He was so pissed. I loved it. Every second of it," Doncic said.Doncic was reportedly paired alongside assistant coach Ty Abbott during he pickleball game, although the duo lost in the finals to Jake LaRavia and Beau Levesque. The event was held during the Lakers’ four-day break leading up to their matchup against the Utah Jazz on Sunday.Redick, who was teamed up with Marcus Smart and another unnamed teammate, lost to Doncic in the semifinals and offered his view on his team's performance. "I’m not going to name names, but particularly when one of my teammates decided to eat through the majority of the tournament. Like, he was eating food while watching me and the other teammate," Redick said.
