Draymond Green came to the defense of his Golden State Warriors teammate Jonathan Kuminga after rumors circulated about his unhappiness playing with the team this season. Notably, Kuminga had a lengthy stalemate with the Warriors' front office last offseason as the two sides could not agree on a deal until just over a month before the season started.

According to Green, Kuminga was one of the most bought-in players for the Warriors this season, pointing out that he is far from what fans make him look like with their comments.

β€œJK (Jonathan Kuminga) has been one of the most bought in on the team this year," he said in his The Draymond Green show. "How about that!? Oh my god! He’s not the f*cking A**hole and baby y'all make him out to be.”

Kuminga only played 12 minutes in their previous game against the San Antonio Spurs, which the Warriors won, 125-120. Kuminga had a dud in the game.

As Green pointed out, Kuminga did not play in the second half of that game due to knee soreness.

After a solid start in October, where he averaged 17.5 points per game, Kuminga's averages dropped to 13.8 points, along with 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

The Warriors have been in the middle of the Western Conference pack, boasting a 7-6 record.

Draymond Green reveals Jonathan Kuminga belief, desire to be an NBA All-Star

In the same podcast episode, Draymond Green expressed how much Jonathan Kuminga wants to be an NBA All-Star. According to Green, Kuminga has been vocal on his self-belief.

"You speak on accepting a role. JK has made it very clear: He wants to be an All-Star. He thinks he has All-Star potential and he wants to fulfill that. He's made that very clear, 1,000 percent. We all know that," Green said.

Green added that Kuminga's struggles have left him feeling frustrated.

"So, when you feel like things aren't quite going that way, to align like that, you're going to be upset as a competitor, of course. Kid works his ass off, of course you're going to feel some time of way. Who would want someone who doesn't feel any type of way?"

Kuminga is listed as out for the Warriors in their upcoming game against the Spurs on Friday due to knee soreness.
