NBA wives are now making hot takes, with Derek Fisher's wife, Gloria Govan, saying that Steph Curry is more influential than LeBron James. There's no denying that Curry and James are two of the greatest of their generation, and some people are putting them in the GOAT conversation as well.

In a post on her Instagram stories, Govan shared a graphic from her "Sportsing The Podcast" show with co-host Eric Lynn O'Keith. It was a bold claim from one of their followers, saying that Curry changed the game of basketball more than James ever did.

Govan, who is also the ex-wife of Matt Barnes, seemingly agreed with the fan's take:

"Sound it louder for the people in the back."

Gloria Govan married Derek Fisher in 2021 after dating for a few years. Fisher was known for winning five NBA championships with the LA Lakers. Govan ventured into the podcasting space recently and went into the "hot takes" business.

In last week's episode of "Sportsing The Podcast," Govan had nothing but praise for Steph Curry, who dropped back-to-back 40-point games. She thought that it was time to put Curry in the GOAT conversation along with other legends like Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

To be fair to LeBron James and Steph Curry, they are both influential to basketball in different ways. James affected how free agency works after leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2010. He gave stars the power to influence a franchise, though some fans still despise him for allowing it to happen.

Meanwhile, Curry's influence is more on the game itself because of his 3-point shooting. Teams have been chucking shots from beyond the arc at an alarming rate, though things are starting to mellow down, and the big men are trying to make a comeback.

There's no denying that Steph Curry is one of the most recognizable sports figures in the world today. However, Curry is still in disbelief at times with the fame and attention he's gotten over the years.

"It's kind of interesting from my perspective because, and this sounds cheesy as hell, but it's still surreal," Curry said, on the 'Dubs Talk' podcast, via NBC Sports Bay Area. "It doesn't necessarily make sense what this journey has been like."

Curry added that it's been a while since he and his wife, Ayesha Curry, have gone "incognito," wherein no one recognized them in public.
