Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had a strong opinion about the team's schedule. Kerr complained about the team's recent schedule and even said that it's the "toughest early schedule" for his NBA life. However, former Houston Rockets guard Eddie Johnson gave the coach a reality check on social media.

The Warriors are currently on a six-game road trip that will end in a game against the Miami Heat. They had just finished their fourth game of the road trip on Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans with a 124-106 win. On Tuesday, Golden State will resume its season and face the Orlando Magic.

In a recent interview with 95.7 The Game, Kerr discussed how difficult the Warriors' early schedule has been.

"The Miami game will be our 17th game in 29 days in 13 different cities. It's been the toughest early schedule I've ever been a part of in my entire NBA life," Kerr said on Monday (Timestamp 3:50).

Following Kerr's thoughts on the Warriors' schedule, former NBA player Eddie Johnson gave him a reality check. Johnson reminded the head coach that despite having a harder schedule, players from the 1980s and 1990s hardly voiced complaints.

"I love Steve, but I got to protect my brothers and him from the past. We played 4 games in 5 nights numerous times. That means back to back to back in different time zones while flying commercial, washing our uniforms in a tub and rarely complained. Go play and love the game!" Johnson posted on X.

Steve Kerr hasn't responded to what Johnson said. Fortunately, the Warriors' tough road stretch will soon conclude. After that, the team will have a five-game homestand before another stretch of road games.

Steve Kerr revealed his concern about the increased number of injuries

There have been a lot of reports about injuries around the league. Warriors' Steve Kerr is aware of the increase and revealed his concern about it on Tuesday.

"[The Warriors' medical staff] believes that the wear and tear, the speed, the pace, the mileage is factoring into these injuries," Kerr said.

Kerr has expressed a strong opinion about shortening the regular season to 72 games. The head coach wants more rest for players to prevent injuries. He also said that the Warriors haven't had a single practice during their lengthy road trip.

"We literally haven't had a single practice on this road trip," Kerr said. "Not one. We've been gone a week or longer. Eight days, not one practice. It's just game, game, game. So not only is there no recovery time, there's no practice time."

However, Steve Kerr knows that it's not easy to get all the constituents on board in reducing the number of games. This could mean less revenue, not just for the league, but for everyone involved.
