While it is understandable that Green wants to be with his team during their tough stretch, when they are missing Steph Curry, Perkins drastically differed from Green's decision. Perkins also shared a near-tragic incident during the birth of his twins in 2015.

"I don't give a fu** what you got going on," Perkins said. "You should never ever ever ever miss the birth of your child. I don't give a damn."

On Monday last week, after the 124-112 loss to the OKC Thunder, Green was asked about being on the road when his wife, Hazel Renee, was expected to give birth to their next child.

"Sucks ... pretty s----y to be honest," Green said. "But nonetheless, this is my job, and I love to do my job."
"I'll do all I can and get back here if I need to. It's been tough, just with our schedules."

Online backlash against Draymond Green was intensified, especially in light of Luka Doncic's decision to fly to Slovenia for the birth of his daughter. He missed two consecutive games.

Since then, the Golden State Warriors player has missed two back-to-back games against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Chicago Bulls. After the game, Green was seen in a walking boot. However, he had told reporters that he was planning on playing through the injury.
