The four-time NBA champion was called for the flagrant after grabbing Aldama by the neck from behind, later dismissing it as a “soft” tackle. Green earned six personal fouls during the game, taking his season total to 17, the second-highest in the league so far.

Despite racking up fouls, Green played an important role in the Warriors' win against the Grizzlies. The center recorded 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 10 assists and had a plus-minus of +10 during his 28 minutes on the court.

Sharing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), the Insider blasted the referees and media for offering "specialty treatment" to Green.

"I will never understand the weird specialty treatment Draymond Green gets from referees and media for being an incessantly dirty player," he tweeted.
"Draymond Green slammed Santi Aldama to the floor and proceeded to yell, “That’s soft as fuck” to a referee's face, yet Tuomas Iisalo gets a technical for asking where was the flagrant," he continued.
