Doc Rivers fired a clever dig at the Blue Jays fans during a conversation with Toronto reporters. On Tuesday, the Milwaukee Bucks coach spoke to the Toronto NBA media after suffering a 128-100 loss against the Raptors at their home.

Rivers was evidently upset with the loss, as he vented his frustrations at the Toronto media. The Bucks coach brought up the Toronto Blue Jays' loss against the LA Dodgers in Game 7 of the MLB World Series.

"Are you guys okay? That Game 7 was a hard one. That was heart-wrenching. Look on the bright side, Donald Trump wasn’t going to invite you to the White House anyways," Rivers said.

The US President's office has a tradition of inviting the World Series winners to the White House. President Donald Trump has formally invited the Dodgers to the White House after they won their second consecutive championship on Saturday.

Doc Rivers is in his second season as the Bucks' coach. This time, he had a good start with the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led squad. They have looked strong both offensively and defensively. However, the team is still a one-man show. Without Antetokounmpo on the court, the Bucks struggle against mediocre teams in the league.

They have a 5-3 record and are the fourth team in the Eastern Conference standings.

Doc Rivers loses his cool over hard fouls on star player

The Milwaukee Bucks secured a 117-115 win against the Indiana Pacers on Monday. However, the game saw moments where Giannis Antetokounmpo was hacked multiple times in different plays. During a play, Pacers forward Pascal Siakam collided with Antetokounmpo, sending the Greek Freak to the ground.

Antetokounmpo took a moment to get back as he held his knee while being down near the baseline. In the postgame conference, Doc Rivers was asked about an update on the Bucks star's potential injury, and the coach erupted in frustration.

"The update is call the foul. That's the update," Rivers said. "Giannis drove to the basket and got completely wiped out. Watch the video. I mean, he got completely wiped out. And it's a no-call."

"It's amazing the difference of how Giannis is officiated because... even one of the refs even said, 'Well, yeah they're hitting his arms but he's playing through it.' I said, OK, it's still a foul! He's strong enough to play through it. He's not going to let it stop him, but it's still a foul. I thought he got fouled so many times."

Giannis Antetokounmpo is Doc Rivers' most important player at the moment. The Greek Freak is averaging 32.3 points, 12.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game on 67.7% shooting from the field.
