The Detroit Pistons make a quick stop at the Fiserv Forum to battle the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday before returning for a three-game homestand. The Pistons’ surge under J.B. Bickerstaff has been one of the stories of the season. They aren’t blowing teams away, but they also aren’t collapsing either, and that resilience has kept them at the top of the Eastern Conference at 17-4 and 8-2 record.

They’ve had to find their way despite injuries to several key players. But it now appears the Pistons have turned a corner, with the setbacks slowing down and players finally getting healthy and reaching a point where they can get serious about their championship aspirations.

Ahead of Wednesday's game, Detroit’s squad news is more encouraging but not without concern. Forward Duncan Robinson, who missed the last game due to an ankle injury, is in contention to play. He’s listed as questionable and expected to go through a late medical test to confirm his availability.

Robinson has become such a vital cog in Detroit’s offense after the offseason move. He’s averaging 12.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 43.8% from the field and 40.1% from the arc. He also started in the Pistons’ all 20 games before the injury.

Bobi Klintman is nearing a return to full health as he continues to work toward his first appearance for the Pistons after sustaining an ankle sprain on Nov. 18. He’s been assigned to the Pistons’ G League team for some reps, and it feels like only a matter of time until he’s ready to be utilized by Bickerstaff.

Marcus Sasser is also getting closer to a return from a hip injury. The guard has not featured for the Pistons this season and was recently assigned to the G League team for rehab. However, any potential return to the lineup will have to wait until January.
