Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Game Summary

The two Western Conference powerhouses collided for the first time this season at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Denver coach David Adelman's starting five consisted of Jamal Murray, Tim Hardaway Jr., Peyton Watson, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets were without two key players in Christian Braun and Cameron Johnson due to injuries.

Meanwhile, Minnesota coach Chris Finch went with his usual starting lineup consisting of Donte DiVincenzo, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert. The main task for the Timberwolves was to slow down Jokic, who is averaging a triple-double this season and shooting nearly 70.0% from the field.

The Denver Nuggets dominated early in the first quarter, building a double-digit lead. However, the Minnesota Timberwolves clawed their way back and took the lead to end the period.

Both teams exchanged blows throughout the second and third quarters, setting the stage for an exciting final frame. The score was tied at 90 after the first two minutes of the final period before the Nuggets went on a 12-3 run to take control.

They never let up, sealing their seventh win in a row to improve to 10-2 for the season. The Timberwolves, on the other hand, dropped to 8-5.
