The OKC Thunder dominated the surging Dallas Mavericks on Friday, routing them 132-111 to extend their league-best winning streak to 14 games and improve their NBA-best record to 22-1.
The Thunder turned in a 41-point third quarter to put the Mavericks -- who had been riding a three-game winning streak -- out of reach.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge with 33 points, six assists and five rebounds in just three quarters, while Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren contributed 15 points each.
OKC’s defense smothered Anthony Davis, holding him scoreless in the first half and finishing with just two points on 1-of-9 shooting, along with eight rebounds and six assists. Cooper Flagg added 16 points on 11 attempts.

After a shaky first quarter marked by five turnovers, the Thunder tightened their ball control and committed just one turnover the rest of the way. They dominated inside, outscoring Dallas 62-38 in the paint, and finished with 30 assists on 47 made field goals

The Mavericks opened the night with intensity, jumping out to a 7-4 advantage before the Thunder’s stars settled in and began knocking down shots.
Dallas’ defense also made its presence felt, forcing five turnovers from an OKC team that entered the contest averaging the second-fewest giveaways per game at 12.8. A D’Angelo Russell pull-up triple then brought the Mavericks level at 27-all at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Thunder established their rhythm. After Flagg converted two free throws to cut the lead to 43-40 with 5:20 remaining, the Thunder responded with a 20-8 run capped by a Cason Wallace 3-pointer and a Jalen Williams layup in the final minute, giving OKC a 63-48 advantage at halftime.
The Thunder’s defensive dominance and 41-26 third-quarter outburst essentially sealed the game. In the fourth quarter, Dallas’ reserves outscored the Thunder bench 37-28, trimming the final margin to 21.
