Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat Preview
The Dallas Mavericks have not had a desirable start to the season. Injuries have acted as a major setback, with Anthony Davis forced to sit out and Kyrie Irving already missing the entire year.
As a result, the Mavericks have struggled to stay competitive. They currently sit at 5-13, holding the 13th spot in the Western Conference and only 2.5 games away from the very bottom.
They come into Monday’s game having suffered a loss in their most recent outing. Despite Klay Thompson putting up a season-high 22 points on Saturday, Dallas fell 102-96 to the Memphis Grizzlies.
On the other hand, the Miami Heat are enjoying a strong start. Despite being without Tyler Herro, Miami continues to perform like a top contender. The Heat hold an 11-6 record and sit fourth in the Eastern Conference. They have already defeated powerhouses such as the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Golden State Warriors.
Miami enters the matchup with four wins on the trot, beating the Knicks, Warriors, Bulls, and 76ers by an average of 15.5 points each game.
During this run, Norman Powell and Kel’el Ware have stepped up with significant contributions. Ware has been dominant in the paint, averaging 15.8 points and 15.0 rebounds. Whereas, Powell has scored 23.8 points per game while shooting 55.1% from the field.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat Prediction
The Dallas Mavericks are facing difficulty holding their ground against stronger teams, and their roster simply does not have the firepower required to compete at a high level.
For Miami, they have several players who can take over a game. If Norman Powell, who has been their main scoring option lately, has an off night, Bam Adebayo, Jaime Jaquez Jr., or Kel’el Ware can step in and carry the load.
Prediction: Expect the Heat to win by 14 points.
