Cooper Flagg dueled with Nikola Jokic in a high-voltage regular-season showdown between the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets at the Ball Arena on Monday. The rookie sensation arrived in Denver beaming with confidence, having dropped a career-high 35 points in the previous game against the LA Clippers.

The Mavericks recorded their most impressive win of the season, with Flagg playing a huge role. Dallas downed Denver 131-121 and recorded their second consecutive win despite Jokic's 29-point, 20-rebound night.

Cooper Flagg finished with 24 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 33:26 minutes. He shot 10 of 19, including 1 of 3, and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line. The rookie committed two turnovers and registered a +13 rating.

Cooper Flagg Highlights vs. Denver Nuggets (Dec. 1)

Flagg once again led the Dallas starting lineup, with Anthony Davis, Max Christie, Naji Marshall and Ryan Nembhard. The former Duke phenom endured a cold start, missing his first two field goal attempts, including a shot from beyond the arc. The Mavericks fell behind by 11 points after less than four minutes into the game.

The 6-foot-9 forward knocked down two consecutive shots and infused some life into a struggling Mavericks offense in the opening period. He missed one of his two attempts from the charity stripe, finishing with five points in 8:33 minutes in the first quarter.

Flagg found his rhythm in the second quarter and left his imprint on both ends of the court. He dropped six points on four shots in the second frame, while dominating the board and putting his teammates in position to score.

At halftime, Cooper Flagg had 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 15:28 minutes. He shot 4 of 8 from the floor, including 0 of 3 from 3-point range, and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line.

Flagg was superb after the break, stuffing the stat sheet with another spectacular all-round display. In one possession, the rookie blocked a shot, got the rebound and then went coast to coast for a layup. He knocked down his first 3-pointer in the third quarter, scoring nine points in the frame.

The standout rookie remained clutch in the fourth quarter, dropping four points and being a menace defensively. He combined with Anthony Davis and Ryan Nembhard superbly to roll out a fantastic win for the Mavericks.
