Things got heated between former teammates Bruce Brown Jr. and Kevin Durant during Saturday's Denver Nuggets-Houston Rockets game. Brown thought that Durant crossed the line during their altercation, while the Rockets star dropped a strong response.
In his postgame press conference, Brown discussed what happened between him and KD in the third quarter. They appeared to be talking trash at first, but things became intense with shouting and finger-pointing.
"It’s been cool, but I think it’s been cut slow now," Brown said, according to Basket News. "After tonight, some words were said that were a little disrespectful. So I can’t wait to see him next time. ... As a man, there are certain things you don't say to another man."

Bruce Brown Jr.'s postgame comments quickly reached Kevin Durant, who promptly responded with some ferociousness. Durant said that he almost thought about crossing the line because there was "no love" between him and his former teammate.
"I definitely wanted to cross the line tonight, that's basketball," Durant said, according to Sports Illustrated. "It's in between the lines, ain't no respect, ain't no love, nothing. ... Some people can talk and play, some people can't. I had to learn how to talk and play as a player. I think Bruce is probably learning the same thing."
Durant and Brown were teammates for two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. Saturday's incident was also not the first time the two had an altercation. During the 2023 Western Conference Semifinals between the Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns, they had to be separated by coaches and teammates.
