Carmelo Anthony and his former wife, La La Anthony, watched their son, Kiyan Anthony, suit up for Syracuse against the Houston Cougars on Monday. The parents of the emerging basketball star attended Kiyan’s biggest basketball game early in the season. Against a team that reached the NCAA championship game this year, the former NBA player and the actress showed up to support the 18-year-old guard.

Late in the first half, a streaking Anthony received a pass from teammate J.J. Starling for a fastbreak attack. The 6-foot-5 guard took his time to fend off the trailing Mercy Miller to make a layup.

After Kiyan scored, La La Anthony stood up to appreciate the play that forced the Cougars to a timeout. Carmelo Anthony remained seated, intently looking at the players as Houston called for a ceasefire.

The defeat dropped Adrian Autry’s team to 4-1 while the Cougars extended their winning streak to six games.
