LeBron James' son, Bronny James, returned to the G League on Friday after a brief stint with the Lakers, where he earned rotation minutes in multiple games. With the Lakers getting healthy and having their full roster available, it was the ideal opportunity for Bronny to get a run with South Bay.

They played the Santa Cruz Warriors at home at the UCLA Health and Training Center. Bronny suited up alongside the Lakers' second-round pick, Adou Thiero and new two-way signing Drew Timme. Coach JJ Redick was also in attendance for this clash to see his prospects.

As expected, the stacked South Bay team got out ahead with a 28-20 first-quarter lead. Bronny had five points and two assists in his first stint of the game and one turnover.

Bronny James scored 10 points, two rebounds, five assists and two turnovers, shooting 3 of 5, including 1 of 3 from deep and 2 of 2 from the free throw line. He had a plus-minus score of -9, while LA led 56-50.

Bronny James had a quiet fourth quarter, but it didn't matter. The South Bay Lakers were on course to register a blowout win. Bronny had an excellent return as he finished with 15 points, eight assists and four rebounds. He added three steals and three turnovers to his box score.

Bronny shot 50.0%, including 2 of 5 from 3 and 2 of 3 from the free throw line. He was a plus-minus -12 in a 115-95 win for South Bay.

Bronny James must translate this confidence in his stints with the Lakers

Bronny James picked up where he left off in the G League with his latest performance. He looked comfortable as a ball handler and decision maker. Whether it was scoring or passing, Bronny made the correct reads out of almost all situations.

It's what earned him an early stint within the Lakers' rotation. However, the performances haven't translated consistently. It's led to Bronny losing his opportunities with the team, despite LA needing athletes like him for defensive purposes.

In 10 games, playing 11.1 minutes on average, Bronny James has averaged 2.1 points and 1.8 assists on 29.6% shooting, including 27.3% from 3. Bronny often moves off the ball and stops being aggressive after missing a series of shots. It kills LA's momentum offensively, making him a non-factor on that end.

If he can channel the same confidence as he does in the G League, Bronny could become a crucial part of LA's rotation. The Lakers are 17th on defense with a 114.1 rating. Bronny can help with marginal improvements in that area with his ball pressure, but only if he can be a serviceable offensive player.
