LA Clippers guard Bradley Beal couldn’t seem to catch a break. Beal, who agreed to a contract buyout with Phoenix to join the Clippers, was expected to be a top contributor to the team’s offense, but a horror injury derailed his debut season prematurely.

ESPN’s Shams Charania confirmed on Twednesday that Beal is expected to miss most of the 2025-26 campaign, owing to the fractured hip that will require season-ending surgery.

Bradley Beal’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, released a statement regarding his injury.

“We met with numerous doctors and specialists around the country in collaboration with the entire Clippers medical staff over the last few days, and came to the decision unanimously that the surgery will allow Brad to have a full and complete recovery.”

Shortly after it was announced that Beal would miss the rest of the season, his wife, Kamiah Adams-Beal, put up a cryptic message on Instagram.

“Pray instead of worrying. Pray instead of stressing. Pray instead of panicking. Pray instead of overthinking. Pray instead of assuming. Pray instead of controlling. Pray instead of wondering. In every situation: just pray,” read the post she shared from @trustgodbro, with “God’s Love” instrumental playing in the background of the post.

It is clear from this message shared by Beal's wife that the 32-year-old is seeking guidance through a difficult period.

How was Bradley Beal doing with the Clippers before injury setback

Bradley Beal only played six of the Clippers’ first 10 games, averaging 8.2 points, 0.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 37.5% from the field.

He made his debut for the Clippers against the Utah Jazz on the opening day of the season, scoring five points in a 129-118 loss.

He got his first win of the season in the Clippers’ clash against his former team, the Suns, with a six-point outing Since then, Beal’s availability has been inconsistent, as he missed two games and played in only two of the next eight.

The three-time All-Star has been limited to 20 minutes per game across the six games. He has missed at least 29 games in each of the past five seasons due to various injuries.
