The Warriors improved to 2-0 on the season after taking care of business on the road against the Lakers on Tuesday's opening night. Steph Curry had 23 points and four assists in that game.

That's as good a start as the Warriors could have asked for, as it reinforces their belief that they can match up with the NBA's best on any given night. Curry remains the difference-maker in such games, and that could very well be a reason why the Warriors might still be playing in June next year.

Steph Curry Stays Humble

Steph Curry isn't getting too high or too low after staying unbeaten through two games. The Warriors star understands there are still 80 games left and anything can happen.

Nevertheless, he reflected on Thursday's performance for the Warriors as a group and highlighted the importance of the team understanding the moment. Curry said that after mentioning how Golden State had a closing lineup on the floor that never played together before, even in training camp, it came out on top against an experienced opponent in Denver.

The five-man group included Jimmy Butler, Jonathan Kuminga, Draymond Green and Al Horford alongside the two-time MVP.

"When you understand who you're playing against (and) what it takes to win this particular game, the collective IQ and just toughness ... got us over the hump," Curry said after the game. "So, great start. Haven't done anything yet, but we're building a winning mentality."

The Warriors trailed by seven with 3:50 left, and it seemed as if they didn't have a shot to come back. However, Curry put the team on his back from that point. He scored 18 points all the way to overtime to will the Warriors to a win.
