After the game, Mike Trudell asked Reaves about his one missed free throw from the night, noting that it left him one point shy of Doncic. He gave a lighthearted reply, suggesting that he didn’t outscore the team’s star on purpose.

“I got to keep Luka’s confidence high. I don’t need to outscore him two nights in a row,” Reaves said. “My mom would give me crap about missing that. She hates when I miss free throws.”
