Anthony Edwards has been public about his admiration of Kevin Durant. On Sunday, he spoke about his failed attempts at getting a KD jersey during Hawks-Thunder games as a kid, tying it to his recent gestures of giving his own jersey to young fans.During the Minnesota Timberwolves' 144-117 blowout win against the Sacramento Kings, Edwards appeared to give his jersey away to a young fan. After the game, he was asked about the gesture and what it means to have the chance to inspire kids.Ant reflected on the moment while sharing a story from his own childhood experience."It means a lot because I used to be at the game when KD came to play at Atlanta for OKC and I used to hope I could get a jersey but I was always in the nosebleeds," Ant expresed.Reflecting on the moment, Edwards shared what made him choose that particular fan in the crowd."Just finding that one fan, he said he supported me a lot and he was super happy to get my attention so I was like 'you know what? I am going to give him my jersey tonight,'" he continued.Edwards has seemingly given away his jersey to a young fan in all of the Timberwolves' road games this term. He was incredible throughout the whole thing, and winning the gold was super, super dope."The tournament marked Ant’s first appearance for Team USA, and it turned out to be a fairytale run, playing alongside his idol and winning a gold medal with him.
