The Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors lock horns in an interconference regular-season game at the Chase Center on Friday. It will be the first meeting between the two Western Conference powerhouses, who both have championship aspirations this season.
Minnesota is seeking a return to winning ways after its five-game win streak was halted in the previous encounter against the Phoenix Suns. On the contrary, the Warriors navigated their five-game stretch without Steph Curry in an excellent fashion, winning three games.

Anthony Edwards is in danger of missing the blockbuster encounter against the Warriors. If he is sidelined, the Timberwolves' starting lineup will see a change. Bones Hyland will be promoted to the starting five.

The rest of the starters will remain the same. Donte DiVincenzo will be the team's starting point guard, while Jaden McDaniels and Julius Randle will be the two forwards. Rudy Gobert will anchor the frontcourt and the team's defence from the center position.

The Warriors' starting lineup will witness a huge change as their poster boy, Steph Curry, will make his comeback after a five-game absence. Curry will lead Golden State's charge from the point guard position.
Pat Spencer will partner with Curry in the backcourt, while Jimmy Butler and Buddy Hield will be on the wing. Quinten Post will lead the frontcourt from the center position.

The Timberwolves listed five players on the injury report. Anthony Edwards is dealing with right foot soreness and is listed as questionable. Mike Conley (right Achilles tendinopathy), Joan Beringer (G League), Enrique Freeman (G League two-way) and Rocco Zikarsky (G League two-way) are all ruled out.
Meanwhile, the Warriors will be without their two veteran frontcourt players. Draymond Green is out for personal reasons, while Al Horford is dealing with a sciatica injury.
