LA Lakers forward Jake LaRavia is turning out to be a great pick-up for the team due to his recent performances. The wing has gained notoriety in recent games, especially after Anthony Edwards' "Who's Number 12" jab on Wednesday.

The Minnesota guard took a hilarious shot at LaRavia during the Lakers' visit to Target Center after a fan asked him, "Who is number 12?"

"That’s what I’m asking. I don’t know," Edwards jokingly replied during the game.

This moment garnered plenty of attention from fans and has helped LaRavia gain notoriety. During a post-game conference on Sunday, the wing credited Edwards for his newfound fame.

I find that kind of stuff funny cause I am not well known at this moment, so I’ll just, you know, head down, working hard, that’s all I do. LaRavia earned Edward's attention after his 27-point outing against the Timberwolves. His performance helped the Lakers secure a close 116-115 win as they bounced back from a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. Since then, the Lakers have won three straight games, climbing to third in the Western Conference standings.

The forward joined the Lakers during free agency after spending the end of last season with the Sacramento Kings. After signing a two-year $12 million contract, LaRavia has fit in seamlessly in Los Angeles, stepping up in LeBron James’ absence.

He’s currently averaging 12.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists while shooting 60.0% from the field.

After gaining the attention of Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves fans, Jake LaRavia has continued to turn heads with his impressive shooting. The forward has been one of the Lakers’ most efficient scorers, shooting 60.0% from the field and 50.0% from three.

Having played all seven games this season, LaRavia started the season with a 50% shooting figure before raising it to 66.7% in the following game. Though his percentage dipped in the following two games, he bounced back with a 90% performance against the Timberwolves, followed by 62.5% and 76.9% showings against the Grizzlies and Heat, respectively.

The forward had another impressive performance against the Trail Blazers on Monday, shooting 50% from the field. LaRavia continues to make a name for himself, with the No. 12 impressing fans through his consistent shooting display.
