The Golden State Warriors continue their Eastern road trip to face the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. This will be the first meeting of the season between the two nonconference teams. It marks the end of a three-game road trip for the Dubs, while the Bulls wrap up their three-game homestand.

The Warriors are fresh off a 99-94 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday and are back to .500 heading into this game. Two-way point guard Pat Spencer rose to the occasion with a team-high 19 points in the absence of the Big Three – Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green. It was his first career NBA start and it ended up being vital, as he hit a pair of clutch fourth-quarter threes and knocked down two free throws that sealed the win.

That win over the Cavs snapped a three-game losing streak since Golden State started the road trip after losing 124-112 to OKC Thunder. They will now face a Bulls team that is on a six-game winless streak, after Chicago lost to the Indiana Pacers 120-105 on Friday night.

Like many teams, the Bulls were victims of enjoying a strong start with a 5-0 streak; however, things went downhill from there as they have yet to put together consistent results. Injuries and uncertainty behind Chicago bench have conspired to keep the team from winning since. The Bulls are 9-13 overall and 4-6 at home, and Coach Billy Donovan’s seat is starting to heat up. He needs to find a formula to get the team out of this rut.

Golden State Warriors Starting Lineups and Depth Chart

The Warriors enter this game with significant absentees that will shape Steve Kerr’s selection. Steph Curry is set to miss his fifth consecutive game with a quadriceps injury. His next chance to suit up comes against the Timberwolves at home.

Jimmy Butler and Alex Toohey will also remain sidelined as they continue to recover from knee injuries

Draymond Green (foot), Al Horford (sciatic nerve irritation), De’Anthony Melton (knee) and Seth Curry (toe) are all listed as day-to-day, with final decisions on their availability to be made before tipoff.

However, considering this is the second leg of a back-to-back, most of them are unlikely to suit up, forcing Steve Kerr to go with the second unit that won against Cleveland: Jonathan Kuminga, Quentin Poole, Buddy Hield, Pat Spencer and Will Richard.
