Golden State Warriors vs. Chicago Bulls preview

The Warriors come into the matchup after snapping a two-game losing streak with a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite opening the season 4–2, they’ve struggled to find consistent form and will aim to build on their latest victory.

Golden State’s inconsistency stems largely from its offense, which ranks 22nd in the league at 113.7 points per game. Defensively, however, the Warriors have been solid, giving up 113.4 points per game, the sixth-best mark in the NBA.

Despite struggling with injuries, Stephen Curry has been the Warriors' best performer, averaging 27.9 points and 4.0 assists in 16 appearances. Meanwhile, Jimmy Butler has been a great secondary option, recording 19.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.

On the other hand, the Bulls have experienced a steep decline. After opening the season with five straight wins, they went 4–14 in November and are now on a six-game losing streak, with their most recent victory coming on November 22.

Their slide is largely the result of a struggling defense, which is allowing 122.5 points per game, the fourth-worst in the league. Offensively, Chicago hasn’t been much better, averaging 118.5 points per game, a middling mark by NBA standards.

Josh Giddey has been one of the few positives during this stretch, averaging 20.4 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 9.1 assists per game. Nikola Vucevic is the next best contributor, recording 16.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.

In terms of injuries, Golden State will remain without Alex Toohey, Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler. Seth Curry, Al Horford, Draymond Green and De’Anthony Melton are listed as questionable.

For Chicago, Isaac Okoro, Jalen Smith, Kevin Huerter and Noa Essengue have been ruled out, while Jalen Terry, Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, Tre Jones, Patrick Williams and Zach Collins are all questionable.
